About Lyon Creek Real Estate
In October of 2021 we launched Lyon Creek Real Estate to help streamline the process of buying and selling real estate. We have the goal of "mastering the craft of local real estate" and we felt that the best way to do that is to open a boutique brokerage so we can double down our efforts in our local community.
Every home has unique characteristics, every client has different goals, and the real estate market is constantly shifting. It's our goal at Lyon Creek Real Estate to use our experience, data analytics, and creative juices to help our clients thrive in the fast paced housing market.
We pride ourselves on being a "full service" real estate company which means that we're not afraid to get our hands dirty. Selling the perfect home is easy, we like to sell those! But getting ready to sell a home that needs a little TLC is no problem for us. We can use our knowledge to help homeowners determine what work will create the most equity in the home. We have a roll-a-dex of construction professionals, landscapers, painters, cleaners, stagers, and photographer that will bring each home to life.
The actual creek known as, Lyon Creek, flows from South Snohomish County through Lake Forest Park, past the Town Center, and into Lake Washington. The Creek was always a source of Coho and Sockeye salmon for the Duwamish and became a refreshing roadside spring for travelers. For In the late 19th century, Seattle was growing at an incredible speed and there was an vast need for timber. In 1901, a logging railroad and campground was built along Lyon Creek to increase production. Old growth logs were hauled down the tracks to a landing on the shores of Lake Washington, which is now the site of the Lake Forest Park Civic Club. Ole Hanson, the founder of Lake Forest Park, exclaimed that no new development should alter the path of Lyon(s) Creek. So there you have it, a brief history of Lyon Creek, we're not sure when Lyons Creek dropped the "s" and became Lyon Creek, but we're here to sell real estate not to trip over minor details.
